Amador Government #101 Workshop |
||
|
~ Amador Residents ~ You may or may not have heard that a handful of residents have put together an Amador Government #101 workshop for the residents of Amador County. This is an effort to allow our fellow citizens an opportunity to hear how their local government works right from the mouths of the folks who run it. On suggestion from our CAO (County Administrative Officer), Terri Daly, we took the idea and an outline to the Administrative Committee last month and left with the approval of Supervisor Boitano and the Committee. Terri has since booked us workshop locations at the County Government Center. The public is welcome to attend one to all five of the workshops for FREE . Workshops are scheduled on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month starting on September 26 th . Workshops presentations begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. An open public question and answer period will be held from 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We tried to group Departments together as logically as possible and we're open for suggestions. Presentations from Department Directors will be ten to fifteen minutes. For a first effort out, the goal is to at least allow the public an opportunity to see an overview of County government and meet the fellow residents/County employees, who make it work.
