We Are a Local Search Engine

Local search engines are important because they tie local and regional businesses, services, organizations and communities together in a searchable online format the major global search engines can't provide.

We are the local search engine for the California counties of Amador and Calaveras, also known as the 'Mother Lode' region, located along the western central slope of California's Sierra Nevada mountain range. We are the only place online where Amador and Calaveras County businesses, services, non-profits and community organizations all can be found together in one searchable format.

Because many of the businesses and organizations on our site would not exist online without us, we also serve as a content provider for the global search engines. People searching for Calaveras or Amador businesses on search engines like Google® and Yahoo® easily find their way to MyAmador and MyCalaveras.

We Are Non-Profit Media

We carry no banner advertising or paid third-party advertising links. We provide our services free of charge to local community groups, organizations and non-profits. We are sustainable through subscription revenue from for-profit businesses who recognize MyAmador and MyCalaveras as the best advertising value in the Mother Lode market and who see us as an essential online marketing tool for their business.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit California corporation, every penny of our revenue is recycled back into the local economy through the BMCYF and its operations, community programs, services, projects and wages to employees.

To find a Business or Service:

Search our database by name, keyword, category and/or region.

1. In the home page search window, enter a keyword or business name (e.g. 'seniors').
2. Choose region(s), if desired (default: all regions).
   Ctrl/click to choose multiple regions. A color-keyed reference map is provided.
3. Click green 'Search' button to search the local database.
4. To browse by category, click view all main categories.
5. Repeat as desired.

Quick links are provided on the right-hand side of the home page for quick access to commonly-searched categories.

News, weather, highway and government links are provided on the left-hand side of the home page.
